Google Launches AI Advertising Tools for Nigerian Firms

Google has introduced new Artificial Intelligence-powered advertising features to support Nigerian businesses in tracking online ad performance and managing campaigns. Mr Olumide Balogun, Google Director for East and West Africa, announced these features on Friday in Lagos.
The updates, part of the AI Max for Search platform, include a new Google Ads reporting feature and an expansion of AI Brief, a Gemini-powered tool. The reporting feature consolidates customer interaction data into a single view, allowing advertisers to see what customers searched for, the ads they encountered, and the webpages they visited.
This feature will be rolled out globally, including Nigeria, later in the year. AI Brief enables advertisers to specify their ad communications in plain language and preview sample ads before campaigns launch.
Balogun emphasized the importance of early campaign planning for the upcoming Black Friday on November 27. Google’s Vice-President of Global Ads, Mr Dan Taylor, noted that changing search habits are influencing how businesses connect with customers online.
