Kwara Governor AbdulRazaq Empowers Owode Oja Community

On August 5, 2025, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq visited Owode Oja in Asa Local Government to empower the community with industrial garri processing machines. This initiative aims to create jobs, improve livelihoods, and encourage sustainable development.

The machines provided include a de-water cassava mash fryer, cassava mash sifter, and cassava grater with a daily capacity of 1.5 tons. Chief Press Secretary Rafiu Ajakay emphasized the governor's commitment to self-reliance and economic prosperity.

The governor also inspected several road projects aimed at improving rural access to agricultural markets, facilitating easier transport for farmers. Community leaders, including Mallam Kuranga Yakub and Mustapha Kadir, expressed gratitude for the governor's intervention, highlighting its potential to increase production volume and income for local women.

The governor's support is seen as a significant step towards enhancing the community's industrial capabilities and ensuring better market access for agricultural products.
