Kwara Governor Launches N350m Interest-Free Loan Program

On Wednesday, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State officially flagged off the disbursement of N350 million in interest-free loans, targeting 1,000 small business clusters across various communities in Kwara. Each beneficiary will receive N250,000 as part of the initiative funded by the World Bank through the Community Revolving Fund (CRF).

This project is part of the Kwara State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) initiative, which aims to enhance local economies and empower women, youth, and farmer cooperatives. During the launch ceremony in Ilorin, the governor urged beneficiaries to utilize the funds judiciously and repay them promptly to ensure sustainability and further reach.

Senior government officials and community leaders attended the event, with Hon. Nafisat Musa Buge emphasizing the importance of responsible fund usage for community growth.

The initiative also includes projects for providing potable water to rural communities, improving living conditions in the state.
