Kwara Governor Allocates N90 Million for Soldiers' Families

On Tuesday, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State announced a financial support package totaling N90 million for the families of fallen and injured soldiers who participated in a counter-terrorism operation in Kemanji, Kaiama Local Government Area. The governor declared a sum of N20 million to support the families of the three soldiers who lost their lives in the operation, and N5 million for each of the injured soldiers.

The operation was aimed at repelling a terrorist attack, during which the Nigerian Army faced heavy casualties but successfully pushed back the attackers without further civilian abductions. The governor expressed gratitude towards the security forces for their sacrifices in protecting the nation and emphasized the importance of supporting the families of those who paid the ultimate price for their service.

He also commiserated with the families of the fallen soldiers and reiterated the state government's commitment to providing resources to protect lives and property.
