Benue Governor Awards Scholarships and Empowers Widows of Fallen Heroes

Governor Rev Fr Hyacinth Iormem Alia of Benue State awarded scholarships to children of fallen heroes and pledged to empower their widows with businesses to commemorate Nigeria's 65th anniversary. The governor made this announcement during a lunch event organized for the families of fallen heroes at the government house in Makurdi.

Governor Alia emphasized the importance of honoring the sacrifices made by security operatives in restoring peace in the state. He has prioritized security reforms and support for security personnel to ensure stability in Benue State, which has been facing challenges such as violent attacks and communal clashes.
