Alia Urges APC Members to Engage in Ward Congresses

Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia of Benue State called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to actively participate in the Ward Congresses scheduled across 276 council wards in the state.

In a press release signed by Chief Solomon Iorpev, the Technical Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Media and Public Strategy, Alia described the congress as a pivotal moment for grassroots democracy. He emphasized that participation is not merely a right but a duty essential for the continued success of the state.

The governor encouraged delegates to view the congress as an opportunity to shape leadership at the ward level, ensuring that the APC remains a vibrant and democratic party. He assured party members that the congress would be conducted fairly and transparently, adhering to party guidelines.

Alia also warned individuals or groups intending to disrupt the congress to refrain from such actions, stating that security agencies would be on high alert to ensure safety and security during the event.
