Yobe Governor Unveils N515.6bn Budget for 2026 Fiscal Year, Focus on Economic Growth

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni presented a N515.6 billion budget proposal for the 2026 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly. The budget is designed to drive economic growth and transform infrastructure, with a significant increase from the previous year's approved budget of N320.81 billion.

Key sectors like healthcare, education, agriculture, and infrastructure, including roads, electricity, and water supply, will receive priority attention. Governor Buni plans to establish a dialysis center in Gashua to support kidney patients and construct a new general hospital in Potiskum.

The budget aims to sustain investments in critical sectors to enhance service delivery and improve the livelihood of the people.
