Bauchi Governor Presents N878 Billion 2026 Budget to Assembly

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State presented a N878 billion budget for 2026 to the Bauchi State Assembly, with a focus on sector allocations and revenue projections. The budget includes N567 billion for capital expenditure and N310 billion for recurrent spending.

Mohammed highlighted a 41.07% increase from the previous year, attributing it to revenue growth and tax reforms. The budget aims for compliance with fiscal responsibility laws and practical project implementation.

Speaker Abubakar Sulaiman assured swift scrutiny and passage of the budget in the Assembly.
