Gov Diri Launches 15km Marathon in Bayelsa to Promote Fitness

Governor Diri of Bayelsa State inaugurated a 15km marathon in Yenagoa to encourage fitness among residents. The event, held at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex, saw the official presentation of marathon jerseys by Odonkumo Igbeita on behalf of the organizing committee.

The Deputy Senate President, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, recommenced weekly walks with the Governor after a brief hiatus during the festive season. The Governor emphasized the importance of regular exercise and announced that local government chairmen would monitor and ensure compliance with the fitness initiatives.

Odonkumo Igbeita commended the Governor's commitment to sports development and personal fitness involvement.
