Governor Uba Sani Donates N114,000 to Hajj Pilgrims

During a visit to the Kaduna State pilgrim tent in Mina, Saudi Arabia, Governor Uba Sani announced a donation of N114,000 to each pilgrim participating in the 2026 hajj. This amount is equivalent to 300 Saudi riyals at the current exchange rate.

The governor commended the Kaduna State Pilgrim Welfare Agency for successfully managing the hajj exercise and praised the Kaduna State hajj delegation, led by Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha, for ensuring a hitch-free pilgrimage. He acknowledged minor challenges faced during the exercise and emphasized the importance of prayer for peace and unity in Nigeria.

Sani's administration has made efforts to enhance the comfort of pilgrims, and he urged them to continue praying for divine guidance. Notably, this is the first visit by a governor to the pilgrim tent since 1999, according to Auditor General Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi.
