Adamawa Government Launches 2,000 Tricycles Initiative

The Adamawa State Government, in collaboration with P-GAT Industries Ltd, has initiated the ATRaS Mobility Ecosystem to alleviate transportation challenges in the state. This program aims to deploy over 2,000 fuel-powered tricycles and recruit up to 500 agents.

According to a statement from P-GAT, signed by Mr. Timothy Prime, the initiative seeks to reduce transportation costs by lowering operating expenses for tricycle operators while enhancing service affordability and efficiency for commuters. Under the ATRaS 2,000 Rider Relief and Welfare Support Programme, participating riders will receive benefits including up to 50 percent fuel subsidy, health and medical support, maintenance assistance, and educational opportunities.

The recruitment of 500 ATRaS Agents will facilitate rider and customer registration, product distribution, and community mobilization. P-GAT emphasized that existing fuel-powered tricycles can be utilized, and the program aims to expand across Northeast Nigeria and beyond.
