First Hajj Flight Takes Off from Zamfara's Airport

Governor Lawal made history by inaugurating the first Hajj flight from Zamfara's Gusau International Airport on Friday, carrying 415 intending pilgrims aboard Max Air flight NGL270. This historic flight included 288 male and 127 female pilgrims.

During the inauguration, Governor Lawal expressed gratitude for this milestone, emphasizing the importance of the airport as a legacy project for his administration. He noted that the construction of Gusau International Airport began on June 18, 2024, and highlighted the convenience it offers, allowing pilgrims to reach Saudi Arabia in less than four hours.

Governor Lawal expressed happiness for the intending pilgrims and reiterated his commitment to fulfilling campaign promises. He mentioned ongoing discussions with airlines for commercial flights from the airport, wishing the pilgrims success in their journey.
