Enugu Governor Signs N1.62 Trillion Budget, Targets N870 Billion IGR in 2026

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, signed the N1.62 trillion budget for 2026, with a focus on achieving a N870 billion Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target.

The budget allocates 80% to capital expenditure and 20% to recurrent expenditure, with the economic sector receiving the highest allocation. Mbah expressed gratitude to the Enugu State House of Assembly for their swift consideration of the budget, promising immediate implementation to drive transformation across sectors.
