Enugu Governor Signs N870bn Budget, Targets IGR Growth

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State signed the 2026 budget into law, focusing on reform and development. The budget, totaling N870 billion, aims to enhance governance, transparency, and value for money in public expenditure.

Mbah stressed the need for discipline and hard work to achieve the IGR target. The Enugu State House of Assembly played a crucial role in the budget process, ensuring a seamless execution.

Major projects include new roads, rail projects, airport terminals, and smart secondary schools. Mbah proposed a 66.5% increase in the budget compared to 2025.
