Governor Otti Inaugurates Boards to Enhance Abia Development

On a recent date, Governor Otti of Abia State inaugurated strategic boards to deepen development reforms within the state. This initiative is part of a medium to long-term development agenda aimed at improving governance and service delivery.

Governor Otti emphasized that appointments to these boards were made based on strict merit and competence. He urged board members to remain focused on delivering government services despite increasing political activities.

Dr. Ezinn Chinyer Benjamin Kalu was appointed as the chairman of the Abia State University Teaching Hospital board.

In her remarks, Dr. Kalu acknowledged the responsibilities of her new role and pledged to support the institution in achieving global respect in tertiary healthcare delivery, medical education, and research.

She also highlighted the strategic importance of the teaching hospital in national development and addressed the challenges posed by brain drain in the healthcare profession.
