Governor Otti Launches N306 Million Business Grant Scheme

Governor Otti launched a grant scheme worth over N306 million to support businesses in Abia State. This initiative, known as the Nkata grant scheme, aims to assist entrepreneurs across 17 local government areas.

The program was unveiled during a meeting with the management team of the Abia State Technology Skill Acquisition Centre (ATSAC). It is designed to empower businesses, create jobs, and expand economic opportunities for young people in the state.

Governor Otti emphasized that the grant scheme is structured to accommodate different categories of beneficiaries to ensure inclusivity across the state. He expressed his desire to see the intervention yield results not only in monetary terms but also in job creation and poverty reduction.

The program aligns with his administration's vision of building a product and innovation-driven economy, and he encouraged residents to become self-reliant and employable through this initiative.
