Abia State Completes 414 Roads, 82 Under Construction

During a monthly media interaction in May, Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti disclosed that his administration has completed the construction of 414 roads, covering a total distance of 864.12 kilometers over the past three years.

He also mentioned that there are currently 82 additional roads under construction at various stages, amounting to 212 kilometers. Governor Otti emphasized the strategic execution of these projects to enhance transportation, commercial activities, and economic growth across the state.

He noted that the road construction initiatives would commence next week and are part of a broader commitment to deliver quality infrastructure, including complementary facilities such as street lights and drainage systems. The governor reiterated the importance of good road infrastructure in reducing transportation costs, improving business efficiency, accelerating trade, and creating jobs, while also ensuring the involvement of local professionals in the projects.
