Gov. Otti Restores Electricity to 33 Abia Communities After Nine-Year Blackout

Abia State Governor Alex Otti restored electricity to 33 communities in Ukwa West Local Government Area after a nine-year blackout. The project, executed by the Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC), aimed to improve living conditions in oil-producing communities.

Governor Otti emphasized the need to protect the newly restored infrastructure from vandalism and theft. He also directed stakeholders to explore solutions for subsidizing electricity bills.

The project involved rehabilitating transformers, installing new ones, and restoring power lines, benefiting the communities and ensuring effective billing.
