Nasarawa Governor Calls for Support as Super Eagles Begin AFCON Campaign

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State is rallying Nigerian football fans to support the Super Eagles as they kick off their AFCON campaign against Morocco. The Governor's Cup initiative in Lafia Township Stadium aims to foster unity and provide opportunities for local players to be scouted by professional teams.

The tournament has seen 13 teams from different local government areas compete, with Keana defeating Akwanga in the opening match. Various officials, including Safiyanu Isa Andaha and Salisu Galadima, have commended the efforts to promote football development in the state.
