Gombe State Flags Off Gombe-Biu Road Reconstruction Project

On a recent occasion, Gombe State Governor Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya welcomed the Minister of Works, David Umahi, to officially launch the Gombe-Biu road reconstruction project. Governor Yahaya described this project as a historic milestone that will accelerate economic growth and integrate infrastructure development across Gombe State and the North East subregion of Nigeria.

He emphasized the project's significance not only for Gombe State but also for neighboring countries in West and Central Africa, as it will facilitate trade and economic activities. The governor expressed confidence that the project aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda, which aims to transform the region through critical infrastructure development.

Yahaya also highlighted the importance of peace and security in Gombe State to attract investment and development. He disclosed that the federal government supports the establishment of a 184-hectare agro-livestock development zone, which will include modern facilities to enhance the livestock economy in the state.
