Governor Aliyu Commissions Renovated GSSS Yabo in Sokoto

On Thursday, Governor Dr. Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State commissioned the renovation of Government Science Secondary School (GSSS) Yabo, marking a significant step in revitalizing science and technical education in the state.

This initiative is part of the administration's efforts to enhance educational infrastructure, which includes remodeling and expanding the school. The event was attended by former teacher and Vice Principal Alhaji Abdullahi Dangaladima, who emphasized the school's historical significance.

Governor Aliyu noted that GSSS Yabo has been among the best secondary schools in the state, and the renovations are crucial for restoring its standards after years of neglect. He highlighted that education, particularly in science and technology, is foundational for socio-economic development.

The governor also mentioned increased budgetary allocations for education and ongoing projects to improve other educational institutions in the state. He urged parents to encourage their children to pursue both Islamic and Western education, particularly in science and technology, to prepare them for future challenges.
