Emir of Kiyawa Commissions Renovated Mosque in Sokoto

The Emir of Kiyawa, Major Sanusi Muhammad Asha (rtd), commissioned the remodeled Gada Central Jumu'at Mosque in Sokoto State, commending Governor Aliyu's transformative agenda. The Emir described the mosque's construction and renovation as a charitable act that encourages Islam and attracts immense rewards from Allah.

He praised Governor Aliyu for introducing a monthly stipend for imams, deputy imams, and muazzins across the state, calling the initiative worthy of emulation. Governor Aliyu's administration has commissioned 43 mosque renovations and is currently working on 12 additional mosque projects.

The Emir urged the community to maintain cleanliness in mosques to promote Islamic education and peaceful coexistence. Furthermore, Governor Aliyu expressed concern over the poor conditions of Islamic schools in the state, assuring that renovations and new constructions would begin in the coming year.

The event was attended by Sultan Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar's representative, Prof. Sambo Wali Junaidu, who encouraged the community to utilize mosques for learning.
