Governor Aliyu Inspects Renovation at Gada General Hospital

On a recent visit to Gada General Hospital, Governor Ahm Aliyu commended the quality of work being executed in the ongoing renovation project. Accompanied by state officials, including Dr.

Faruk Umar Wurno, the Commissioner of Health, the governor was briefed on the project's progress. The renovation, which began after a fresh contract was awarded at a cost of N313,367,123.56, is currently 94% complete.

The hospital, established in 1992 and last renovated in 2019 during the administration of former Governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, is undergoing comprehensive renovations that include structural improvements, installation of a solar power system, construction of a solar-powered borehole, remodeling of the labor ward, and renovation of 14 staff quarters. The governor urged the contractor to expedite the completion of the project, which is deemed urgent for enhancing healthcare delivery in the state.

The hospital currently employs 110 healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.
