Diri Dismisses Critics, Affirms Bayelsa Projects Will Succeed

On Thursday, Governor Senator Douye Diri of Bayelsa State addressed critics of his administration during the state’s weekly Prosper Walk. He described attempts to undermine government initiatives as "evil prayers" that would not succeed.

Diri specifically addressed concerns regarding the gas turbine project, which some individuals allegedly claimed would fail. He emphasized the project's importance for Bayelsa's development and noted that efforts to sabotage it have been unsuccessful due to strong security measures protecting the installation.

The governor reassured residents that there are no technical faults with the gas turbine and dismissed reports suggesting otherwise as false and misleading. He accused critics of portraying Bayelsa negatively and expressed concern over the lack of support from residents, urging them to unite behind the administration for the state's progress.
