Governor Okpebholo of an undisclosed state rescued accident victims on the Benin–Auchi Highway. While en route to Esan Central Local Government Area, the governor's convoy encountered a major traffic jam and stopped to assist.

The accident involved a white Toyota Venza and three commercial mini-buses, leaving several victims critically injured. Governor Okpebholo personally supervised the rescue operation, ordering security vehicles to transport the injured to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.

Eyewitnesses praised the governor's swift response and hands-on approach in ensuring the victims received immediate medical attention.
