Edo State Governor Rewards Civil Servants, Approves Cabinet Changes for Efficiency

Governor Okpebholo of Edo State rewarded three exemplary civil servants with SUVs after secretly monitoring their work ethic. The governor expressed the intention to reward discipline and commitment among civil servants.

Additionally, minor changes in the state cabinet were approved to improve governance efficiency and service delivery. Vincent Osa Uwadia was redeployed from the Ministry of Oil and Gas to the Ministry of Land and Housing, while Gani Audu was appointed as the new Chief of Staff to the Governor, replacing Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa.

These changes are set to take effect on January 30, 2026, pending confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.
