Nigerian Government Acts to Complete Vital Umuahia-Ikwuano-Ikot Ekpene Road

The Nigerian government is making efforts to finish the Umuahia-Ikwuano-Ikot Ekpene road, a critical 49-kilometer link road that has suffered from neglect for years. The recent intervention by President Bola Tinubu's administration, following a directive, has brought hope to the region, especially for farmers and the local economy.

Politician Sam Onuigbo played a central role in advocating for the road's repair, highlighting the challenges faced due to bureaucratic delays. The commitment from the Ministry of Power, Works, and Housing under Babatunde Fashola has shown initial positive results since June 2016.
