Grassroots Mobilisers Defect to ADC in Oyo State, Signaling Political Shift

Dozens of grassroots mobilisers, including loyalists from different political platforms, have defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, particularly in the Ibarapa zone. This mass defection is seen as a significant moment in the political history of the region, reflecting growing confidence in the ADC's ideology and leadership.

Niyi Aborisade, a governorship aspirant under the ADC, described the move as a response to frustrations with the current political leadership and unfulfilled promises. Yinka Olona, the ADC Oyo State chairman, welcomed the new members and emphasized the party's commitment to good governance and people-oriented leadership.

The defection was marked by a town hall meeting attended by various stakeholders from three local government areas in Ibarapa, with Segun Erinl commending the ADC's grassroots-driven approach.
