U.S. Lists North African Countries for DV 2026 Program

The U.S. Department of State has published the official list of selected entrants for the Diversity Visa 2026 program, revealing that seven North African countries are among the successful lottery participants.

The Kentucky Consular Center in Williamsburg, Kentucky, released the document detailing selectees by country. The program offers approximately 55,000 permanent resident visas annually, drawn from a pool of 20,822,624 qualified entries submitted between October 2 and November 7, 2024.

A total of 129,516 prospective applicants were registered as selectees. It is important to note that being selected in the lottery does not guarantee a visa; each individual must complete a full immigrant visa application, attend an interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate, and meet all eligibility requirements by the program's deadline of September 30, 2026.

The issuance of visas is on a first-come, first-served basis until the annual cap is reached, emphasizing the need for early action.
