Imo State Government Faces Probe Over Alleged Fund Diversion - TMO Calls for Investigation

The Mazi Organisation TMO has urged the EFCC, ICPC, and Nigerian Police to investigate the alleged financial mismanagement by the Imo State government under Governor Hope Uzodimma. The group accuses the government of diverting funds meant for various projects, including local government allocations, UBEC funds, and ecological funds.

TMO spokesperson Cajethan Duke called for a forensic investigation into the state's finances, demanding transparency and accountability. The Imo State Commissioner of Information, Hon Declan Emelumba, did not respond to the allegations.

TMO challenges the government to publish detailed audited reports to justify the utilization of the N330 billion received on behalf of LGAs.
