PDP Urges EFCC and ICPC to Probe Imo Local Government Funds Mismanagement

The Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) called on anti-graft agencies to investigate the use of local government funds in the state. PDP spokesperson Lancelot Obiaku urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to probe the management of funds across the 27 local government areas.

The party criticized the lack of accountability despite the receipt of substantial funds, highlighting the decay in healthcare, education, and infrastructure. PDP demanded transparency from local government chairmen, particularly questioning the whereabouts of allocated funds and project execution.
