Imo Group Alerts EFCC, ICPC Over Missing N330 Billion Local Govt Funds

Imo Mazi Organization TMO raised alarm over the alleged disappearance of over N330 billion in local government funds in Imo State since 2020. The group accused Governor Hope Uzodimma of intimidation and diversion of funds meant for visible projects in the 27 LGAs of the state.

The funds, including federal allocations and ecological funds, were reported to have been mismanaged, with disparities in fund distribution among LGAs. TMO also accused the state government of creating a proxy group to spread misinformation and silence critics.

The group called for intervention from anti-corruption agencies like the EFCC and ICPC to investigate the missing funds.
