Support Grows for Tantita Security Pipeline Contract

A coalition of civil society organizations has voiced strong support for Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, advocating for the continuation of their pipeline surveillance contract awarded by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) in September 2022. This contract, valued at N4 billion per month, covers surveillance in Delta, Ondo, Imo, and Bayelsa states.

The group, represented by Comr Jefe Abido, Comr Ajibad Smith, and Comr Chima Samuel Obirinank, urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to uphold the contract, which they described as essential for maintaining peace and security in the oil-rich Niger Delta region. They criticized detractors of the contract, labeling them as "charlatans" and "enemies" of the current administration.

The coalition emphasized that Tantita's operations have led to a reduction in pipeline vandalism and pollution, thereby fostering a conducive environment for local farmers and fishermen. They called on Nigerians to support the government and Tantita Security Services in enhancing security and boosting economic growth.
