Youth Coalition Endorses Lebechi Mbam for 2027 Elections

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders has officially endorsed Engr. Lebechi Mbam of the Progress Congress as their preferred candidate for the Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency in the upcoming 2027 National Assembly elections.

The coalition, which is an apex socio-political youth organization in the South East, highlighted Mbam's extensive experience, integrity, and proven track record as essential qualities for effective representation. They called on Governor Francis Nwifuru and other stakeholders in the constituency to support Mbam, emphasizing that he possesses the requisite experience and exposure to drive development and positively impact the community.

The coalition criticized the current representative, Hon. Emmanuel Uguru, for alleged underperformance and lack of engagement with constituents, citing a lack of town hall meetings and inadequate representation of youth and women.

They expressed a desire for credible leadership that aligns with modern realities and can elevate the constituency's status.
