Group Commends N178bn Road Project for Birnin Gwari

A community-based organization in Birnin Gwari has praised the Federal Government and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for the approval of a N178 billion road project, specifically the 122-kilometer Mando-Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road. This initiative is seen as a significant intervention to restore hope and improve security in the area, which has faced years of insecurity and infrastructural neglect.

The statement, issued on Friday and signed by the group's chairman, Ibrahim Nagwari, expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for fulfilling commitments made to the people ahead of the 2023 general elections. The reconstruction of the Mando-Birnin Gwari road is viewed as a strategic move to enhance connectivity, strengthen security operations, and boost agricultural productivity in the region.

The group also highlighted other infrastructure projects in Kaduna State, including the construction of a 36-kilometer Bagoma-Gagumi road and the establishment of a modern cattle market and abattoir in Birnin Gwari. They urged the state government to continue peace initiatives and engage local communities to ensure sustainable development.
