Awareness Campaign Against Child Abuse in Imo State

Stand Human Foundation, founded by Chidiebub Okeoma, is set to hold an awareness campaign against child abuse in Imo State. This initiative arises from a rise in reported cases of abuse against children, prompting the organization to call for urgent action.

Okeoma highlighted several alarming cases, including a 63-year-old man from Amatta Community, Ikeduru Local Government Area, who is currently remanded for the defilement of a 12-year-old girl, and a 38-year-old woman, Juliet Igw, who is also remanded for harming a five-year-old maid in Ideato North LGA. The campaign will feature a health walk beginning at 7:30 AM on Saturday at Dan Anyiam Stadium, where pediatrician Emeka Nwolisa will discuss the dangers of child abuse.

The event will also include performances by Nollywood actor Osinachi Dike, known as Apama, hip hop artist Acharaman, and gospel singer Nich Oma, with Ogechi Duruji, also known as MC Duke, serving as the event's instructor.
