Oyo Group Urges Action Against Unregistered Health Colleges

The Campaign for Better Public Health (CBPH) has called on the Oyo State government and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to urgently investigate the proliferation of unregistered health colleges in the state. Anthony Ojo, the director of public communication for CBPH, emphasized the necessity of addressing this issue to prevent innocent students from being misled by these institutions.

The group identified several unregistered health colleges, including Ajorosun College of Health in Ibadan and Iseyin College of Science and Health Technology, which are not on the NBTE's approved list. Ojo urged parents and guardians to verify the registration status of these institutions to protect their children’s future and public health.

The statement highlighted that these unregistered colleges are running various courses, posing a significant risk to the education and health sectors in Oyo State.
