Iseyin College Proprietor Addresses Student Protests

Sundai Owoseni, the proprietor of Iseyin College of Science and Health Technology in Oyo State, made allegations on Thursday regarding former staff members inciting students against the college's management after it received approval from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). In a statement released in Ibadan, Owoseni described the actions of these disgruntled elements as unwarranted protests that threaten the integrity of the institution.

He noted that no college in the state, including Iseyin College, had been listed as approved by the NBTE until that date. The proprietor emphasized that the protests were fueled by individuals who had previously been dismissed and were attempting to blackmail the institution.

He called for a collaborative effort among local government stakeholders, including Rasaq Fadiran and Oba Sefiu Oyebola, to resolve the matter amicably. Owoseni reassured that the college is dedicated to providing quality education and obtaining necessary accreditations.
