GTBank Named Best Performing Bank in Nigeria for 2026

Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has been named the best overall performing bank in Nigeria according to The Banker’s global rankings for 2026. This recognition reinforces GTBank's position among the country's leading financial institutions.

The annual ranking evaluates banks worldwide based on audited financial statements and key performance indicators, including financial strength, operational efficiency, profitability, liquidity, growth, leverage, and risk management. GTBank emerged as the top-ranked Nigerian bank overall and secured first place in the efficiency category.

Additionally, it ranked second in key performance indicators, which include return on risk, liquidity, growth, and leverage, reflecting its strong performance across major banking metrics. Miriam Olusanya, the Managing Director of GTBank, described the award as a testament to the commitment of the bank's employees and loyalty to its customers.
