Bola Adesola Receives Honorary Doctorate from LASU

Bola Adesola has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate (Honoris Causa) in Business (Corporate Finance and Governance) by Lagos State University. Guinness Nigeria, where she serves as Director, publicly congratulated her on this significant achievement via their official LinkedIn page, highlighting her exceptional leadership and contributions to business and corporate governance.

Numerous LinkedIn users also expressed their congratulations, with notable figures such as Ola Babalola and Timothy Ogunfolaju praising her exemplary leadership and impact on the Nigerian corporate landscape. Adesola, an accountant with over 33 years of experience in the banking sector, is currently the Senior Vice-Chairman at Standard Chartered Bank Group.

She is an advocate for gender equality and financial inclusion and holds degrees from Harvard Business School and Lagos Business School, where she was the immediate past president of the alumni association. Additionally, she has a law degree from the University of Buckingham and is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in both the UK and Nigeria.
