Guinness World Records Confirms Largest Afrobeats Orchestra

Guinness World Records has officially recognized the Dapper Live Artist's achievement of organizing the largest orchestra for an Afrobeats concert, which featured 85 musicians. This record-setting event occurred at the Balmor Convent Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, on December 16, 2025.

The concert showcased a live orchestral performance based on Afrobeat compositions, led by a conductor and accompanied by a choir and dancers. Prominent artists such as Saheed Osupa and Malaika were part of the performance.

The event aimed to blend Afrobeat and Fuji music in a seamless orchestral arrangement. The announcement of the record was made on a Tuesday, alongside a video clip of the performance.

Dapper Live Artist, led by Damilola Akinwunmi, who is also known for his association with three-time Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci, expressed pride in this achievement, which aims to rewrite the record books for Nigerian music.
