Lateef Adedimeji, Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman Aim for Record

Lateef Adedimeji and Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman are spearheading an ambitious attempt to set a Guinness World Record with their film "Black Market," produced by Rixel Studio. The film, written by Abdul Tijani and directed by Fatimah Binta Gimsai, is set to premiere on September 26, 2026, at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.

The project aims to gather 50,000 attendees for the premiere, surpassing the current record of 43,000 people attending a film screening at a single location. Chief Content Officer of Filmon Studio, Ladun Awobokun, described the initiative as a historic opportunity to showcase Nigerian creativity on a global stage.

Damilola Osikoya, Chief Executive Officer of Switch Visual Product, emphasized the project's potential to inspire young creatives to challenge conventions and push boundaries in the film industry. The cast includes notable names such as Itel D Icon, Scarlet Gomez, Omowunmi Dada, and Teniola Alades.
