Plateau State Lawmaker Abducted by Gunmen Sparks Security Concerns

Hon. Danti Laven Jacob, a lawmaker representing Pankshin South Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, was abducted by gunmen.

The abduction took place at the entrance of his residence in Angwan Kaji, Dong area of Jos North Local Government on a Monday night. The Plateau State Police Command confirmed the incident and deployed a tactical team to rescue the lawmaker.

Commissioner of Police Emmanuel Adesina ordered a widespread search operation to ensure the safe recovery of Hon. Jacob.

The abduction of a sitting lawmaker has raised concerns about security in the region and the safety of public officials.
