Gunmen Attack LG Chairman’s Residence, Policeman Shot Dead

Gunmen attacked the residence of a Local Government Chairman, resulting in the murder of a police officer, Inspector Ojonogba of PMF 51. The assailants stormed the Chairman's residence while Inspector Ojonogba was on duty and shot him in the neck while he was asleep in the lounge.

The attack took place in Asaba early Monday, leaving the officer dead and his child behind. The Chairman's Special Assistant on Security, Obasanjo Zuokumor, confirmed the incident.
