Troops Rescue 17 Kidnapped Passengers in Kogi

In a joint operation, troops from the 12 Brigade of the Nigerian Army and local vigilantes rescued 17 bus passengers, including 13 adults and 4 children, who were kidnapped in Kogi State. The victims were abducted on September 10, 2025, while traveling from Osun State to Abuja.

Acting on credible intelligence, the troops intercepted the bus at Opamaru Village and pursued the kidnappers to Wuro Village in Adavi LGA. The criminals fled upon encountering superior firepower, leaving the passengers behind.

The rescued individuals received immediate medical attention at the 12 Brigade Medical Centre. The Nigerian Army emphasized its commitment to safeguarding lives and property, urging the public to provide timely information to support security operations.
