Nigerian Army Rescues 17 Kidnapped Victims in Kogi State Operation

Nigerian Army troops successfully rescued 17 kidnapped passengers, including four children, in Kogi State following a kidnapping incident in Opamaru village. Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, Hassan Abdullahi, disclosed that the rescue operation, supported by local vigilantes, was based on credible intelligence.

The victims, who were traveling from Osun State to Abuja, were abducted by armed men but later abandoned along the road. The troops, after receiving information, tracked down the kidnappers to Wuro village in Adavi Local Government Area.

The rescued passengers received immediate medical attention, emphasizing the importance of public support and timely information in enhancing security operations in the state.
