Gunmen Kill Two in Osogbo, Suspected Cult Clash Involved
On October 2, gunmen killed two individuals, identified as Small Rugged and Oosa, in separate incidents in Osogbo, Osun State. The attacks occurred in broad daylight, causing panic in the Oja Oba, Owo Eba, and Oke Baale areas.
Small Rugged was shot dead at a lounge in the Owo Eba area, while Oosa was killed in the Oke Baale area. Four other individuals sustained gunshot injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Kayode Ibidun, a community leader, urged the Osun State Police Command to take action against cult activities, linking the recent killings to the murder of Emir Ajagungbade in Ile-Ife. DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, the public relations officer for the state police command, confirmed the incidents and stated that the killings were suspected to be related to a cult clash.
CP Ibrahim Zungura has directed tactical teams to apprehend those responsible for these violent acts.
