Small Rugged Killed in Osogbo Daylight Attack

On October 2, 2026, a man known as Small Rugged was killed in a broad daylight attack in the Italolokan area of Osogbo by heavily armed assailants who fled the scene. The attack also claimed the life of another individual identified as Oosa, a known associate of Small Rugged.

Several others sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to hospitals. Chief Superintendent of Police Abiodun Ojelabi described the incident as a suspected clash between rival cult groups.

He confirmed that two people died at the scene, with Small Rugged identified as one of the deceased. The police have initiated an investigation, with tactical teams deployed to the area to apprehend those responsible.

The circumstances surrounding the attack remain unclear, with conflicting reports suggesting it may be linked to Small Rugged's alleged connection to Olalekan Ajagungbade, known as Emir, who was murdered two weeks prior. The police urged the public to remain calm and share any information regarding the violence.
