Haaland's Hat-Trick Leads Man City Past Liverpool 4-0

In the FA Cup quarter-finals, Erling Haaland delivered a standout performance, scoring his 12th career hat-trick, leading Manchester City to a decisive 4-0 victory over Liverpool. The match took place without head coach Pep Guardiola, who was absent from the home dugout.

Antoine Semenyo, a Ghanaian international, also made his mark by scoring a goal. The game featured early drama when a penalty was denied to City after Ryan Cherki was brought down by Milo Kerkez.

However, a penalty was awarded later for a foul by Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk on Nico O'Reilly, which Haaland converted to give City the lead. He doubled the advantage with a header from Semenyo's cross just before halftime.

City maintained control, with Semenyo scoring again shortly after the break, and Haaland completed his hat-trick with a goal from O'Reilly's cutback. Liverpool's Mohamed Salah missed a penalty, marking the club's heaviest defeat in the competition in 80 years.

This victory also set a new record for City, qualifying them for their eighth consecutive semi-final.
