Flynas Transports Over 50% of Nigerian Pilgrims for Hajj 2026

Flynas has successfully transported 50.2% of Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2026 Hajj, according to a statement from Mahmood Muhammad, the media officer of the airline. Flynas, designated as the Nigerian Hajj air carrier, has already operated its second flight on May 4, 2026, airlifting 418 pilgrims from Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport in Birnin Kebbi to Madinah.

So far, the airline has transported a total of 6,149 intending pilgrims across 14 flights from various locations including Kebbi, Abuja, Lagos, and Minna in Niger State. The breakdown shows that 2,988 pilgrims were from Kebbi State, 2,379 from Ogun State, 424 from Nasarawa State, and 345 from Niger State.

Alhaji Umar Kaila, the Managing Director and CEO of First Planet Travel, the General Sales Agent for Flynas in Nigeria, stated that the airline will deploy six aircraft for the operation, including four Airbus A330s with a capacity of 430 seats and two with 345 seats. Flynas aims to ensure a seamless and comfortable experience for the pilgrims, having organized training for 100 local Nigerian staff members ahead of the operation.
